EN 課程宗旨
本課程旨在培養學生成為食品科學和食品安全的專才，以滿足本港及鄰近地區對相關行業的人力需求。本課程理論與實踐並重，內容包括食品化學、營養學、食品微生物學、食品感官評價、食品毒理學及品質控制和食品安全管理等。本課程涵蓋廣泛，可為學生提供足夠能力和技術培訓以解決與食品科學和食品安全相關問題。此外，可透過與食品科學相關的本地或海外行業實習機會，讓學生汲取實踐經驗以及增加日後競爭力和就業機會。

本課程獲香港學術及職業資歷評審局資歷架構及資歷架構級別認可。本課程亦獲香港政府食物及環境衞生署認可，順利完成該課程畢業生，其資歷已覆蓋並豁免考試取得食品衞生經理註册。畢業生亦有資格申請香港食品專業協會、香港食品衛生管理人員協會、國際食品安全協會、香港食品科技協會、和美國食品科學學會之會員資格。畢業生亦可申請由香港測檢及認證協會（HKTIC）「檢測專業人員認證計劃」下的專業測試師（食品檢測）。
Admission Requirements for Specific Courses
入讀一年級
香港中學文憑考試相關應用學習科目最多計算兩科。相關應用學習科目包括︰
中醫藥學基礎、基礎健康護理、健康護理實務、醫務化驗科學。
申請人可能需要參加面試。
三年級入學條件
持有相關的高級文憑或同等學歷之畢業生。。
Remark
Depending on the individual student's background, Associate Degree graduates may be required to complete additional relevant modules (subject to separate fees).
All applicants are required to undergo an admission selection process and an interview; all interviews are conducted in English.
